Brief History:

St. Anne’s Church, Devathanam, was elevated to independent parish status in 1946 and the cornerstone was laid in 1947. The church was consecrated on July 16, 1953, by the first bishop of the Tanjore Diocese following its establishment. The parish serves approximately 750 families including 26 branch parishes across the pastoral zone. Associated institutions include St. Anne’s Government-aided school and Refuge of Mary convent. The annual parish feast is celebrated in late April through early May.
