Brief History:
The chapel at Midthitti, Velankanni, traces its origins to a miraculous encounter in which a disabled boy selling buttermilk received a vision of Our Lady of Health. Guided by the vision, he petitioned a wealthy individual in Nagapattinam to construct a shrine, and upon receiving divine assurance he was miraculously healed. The resulting chapel became a beloved place of prayer, and the fame of Our Lady spread across the surrounding region, drawing pilgrims from far and near.
