Brief History:

St. Michael the Archangel Church, Muthalseery, is a branch parish under Savior of the World Church, Pattukkottai, serving approximately 220 Catholic families. The church originated roughly 100 years ago as a humble palm-leaf structure dedicated to the Archangel Michael. The congregation successively upgraded to a tiled structure and then an asbestos-roofed building. A modern church was consecrated on April 27, 2023, following extensive community contributions and labour. The annual feast of St. Michael is celebrated in May with a chariot festival and Thanksgiving Mass on May 8.
