Brief History:

Originally established as a small chapel in 1940, the church was formally constructed in 1948 using palm thatch by the then-parish priest. The structure was upgraded to tile roofing two years later. In 1966, Kannanvilai was elevated to a subsidiary parish status. Major renovations occurred in 2007-2009, with the new building consecrated by Bishop Peter Remigius on May 1, 2009. The parish serves 70 families.
