Brief History:

This parish was established approximately 120 years ago as part of the Tiruvilliputur parish. Priests initially traveled by cart among villages for monthly services. A small thatched structure was first constructed after an English priest witnessed parishioners traveling through rain. The church underwent reconstruction in 1935 and celebrated its silver jubilee in 1985. The current permanent stone structure was consecrated on November 16, 2018, by Archbishop Anthony Pappusamy. Two priests have been ordained from this parish. The church serves 105 families with 4 associations including Saint Mother Teresa, Saint Salesians, Saint Ignatius, and Saint Francis Xavier groups. The feast is celebrated on the second Saturday of May.
