Brief History:
In 1970s, the Sacred Heart Seminary Priests catered to the pastoral needs of the people at Maduravoyal, in a small hut. Later, it became a sub-station of Porur Parish. On 19th June 1987, a new Church was blessed and dedicated to St Anthony of Padua by Archbishop Casimir Gnanadickam SJ. The Pilar Fathers were entrusted with this Church when it was officially erected as a Parish on 2nd September 1990. In July 2005 the renovated church was blessed and consecrated by Auxiliary Bishop of Madras-Mylapore Rt Rev Dr Lawrence Pius
