Brief History:
The community of Eginivayal adopted Christianity around the 1650s, selecting Our Lady of Health as their patroness in continuity with their cultural tradition of venerating feminine divine figures. The parish was elevated to independent status in 1988, and the present church structure was consecrated on October 3, 1993. The parish serves approximately 218 families, with an extended community of 485 including branch parishes. The annual feast of Our Lady of Health is celebrated from May 21 to 31.
