Brief History:

The church was established through an account describing how a local resident named Savarimutt experienced a vision of St. Raphael appearing on a white horse, requesting a temple be built. Following his death, his daughter Savariammal undertook construction efforts. By 1923, the community completed a church building on approximately twenty cents of land using funds collected through community contributions, initiated by her brother Mariamutt. The parish was elevated in 2016 and 2017 when Fr. Arokiasamy Raj became its first parish priest. The church serves 225 families with 8 religious communities and the feast is celebrated on the first Friday of September over ten days.
