About the Church:
The Catholic community at Dhurwa had its own chapel years before the arrival of the HEC (1961). It was visited regularly by priests from Ranchi. The present buildings were started by Fr. George Zurjsen, when he was parish priest of Doranda to which Dhurwa then belonged. For several years (1974-1994) the o.s.u. were taking care of the school. At present the Society of Jesus is in charge.

I once belonged to this parish from 1970s to 1980s when Rev. Fr. George Zurjsen was the parish priest , now I am in Coimbatore, St. Francis Xavier’s church parish. Would like to hear more about the parish and if possible the picture of my old parish.
