1. Sir,
   I am a catholic whose patriarchal native place is Vizhinjam, but currently residing in Vellayambalam, Trivandrum. I am the grandson of Late Adv.Rozario Gomez, the former Vizhinjam panchayat president. I think that we had a unique church with its unique patroness name, but I have to tell that the church is not maintained as it is required by its importance. The church needs a great artistic outlook competing with those in Europe. The church having huge income could easily do that, but I think a lot of money is wasted without proper consultation. The church indeed have a big spacious interior, but from an artistic point of view and hygeine, our church is very poor, indeed well below standards. Our people and community in Vizhinjam still being educationally backward is not bothered about this, but one pilgirm tourist may find this very disappointing. Another important fact is that there is no proper historical footage shown neither in the church premises nor in any website regarding this unique patroness church. Such information displayed is a must or necessity in churches like ours’ where there is pilgrimage importance. I being a history enthusiaser, could help in these if proper help is being given from church officials in collecting information and with a help a good web designer or programmer could publish and start a website in regards with our unique church.
